ENABLE Works are a distinct part of ENABLE Scotland, one of Scotland’s largest and well-established charities, with over 65 years experience of building a more equal society.

Over 30 years later, as ENABLE Works, we are established as one of Scotland’s leading specialist employment support organisations with a close link to our heritage.

ENABLE Works helps people with learning disabilities and other barriers to employment to obtain and sustain high quality and rewarding employment.

We believe that everyone deserves the chance to develop their skills and discover their talents and ambitions.

Our specialist employability services are available in 25 local authorities across Scotland and support 4,500 people each year. Our development programmes are all about getting young people ready for work – and supporting their individual needs every step of the way.

We work to the principles of supported employment, taking an individualised approach to deliver the right job for the right person. We also deliver IPS (Individual Placement and Support) to assist people with severe mental ill health into employment.

We work with employers across Scotland to help them make informed decisions about hiring, and to connect them to people facing barriers to employment who could add value to their business.

Over the years, ENABLE Works has worked with thousands of employers to help them welcome people with learning disabilities into their places of work and has proven time and again the positive contribution and difference that people with additional support needs make to our society.
