We need volunteers who share our values and we welcome your area of expertise especially if it’s in line with our vision and mission. You could help us run our community spaces or help us expand our reach by engaging with larger audiences on our behalf. There are limitless possibilities for all volunteers involved.
At Project Esperanza; we operate on the moral philosophy and culture of Ubuntu, which is based on the principle of togetherness and how actions should have a positive impact on others and society. The word Ubuntu itself originates from South Africa but all Africans would have a word for Ubuntu in their respective languages. This is because the culture of Ubuntu itself is familiar to all who identify as African. None the less, the language of unity is universal in it’s action regardless and in this organisation; we speak a lot about unifying to help others; that is why we would appreciate you bringing your time and skills to our organisation for the benefit of developing the community and enhancing the lives of people coming from far away places to start a life in North Edinburgh.
We would love to hear about how you could contribute to our mission and vision. We will contact you to invite you for a meeting once you have registered. If you prefer to fill out a paper copy, please call us the office and we will send one out to you.
