Peers Support and Mentoring for Adults Experiencing Stress and Anxiety
The project involves peers support for those greatly affected by the pandemic and ensure that adults are equipped with the skills to manage their daily tasks and fulfil their potential.
The project consists of three services:
- Mentoring and Befriending – one to one support, working towards agreed goals to improve mental wellbeing
- Support Groups – sharing views and experiences with others that will improve social integration
- Online Support – for those unable to attend in person
The aim of this service is to bring together people with shared experience and enable them to support each other, provide a safe space that makes you feel welcomed, accepted and understood, provide support and advice, focus on building resilience and confidence.
We support Polish adults who struggle with mental health issues affected by the pandemic and its restrictions. Adults isolated, suffering from depression, low self-confidence, low self-esteem, anxiety and stress. Adults unemployed or in receipt of benefits who due to mental health issues are unable to function in their daily life properly and need support, advice and guidance on their route to recovery.

Please fill in the referral form below email to receptiondesk@pfsc.co.uk or post to 19 Smith's Place, Edinburgh, EH6 8NU. We aim to contact referred person as soon as possible, during busy periods it may take up to 4 weeks.
When we receive the referral, we will contact referred person directly and inform the Agency referring whether we are able to provide needed support.
