SERVICE DETAILS
The Leith Conversation Cafés project aims to create a safe and inclusive space for people from various ethnic backgrounds to make new friends and chat about various topics related to mental health, migrants’ experiences, social and cultural life.
The main aim of the project is preventing the development of health and socio-economic problems within the migrant population in Edinburgh, problems which can be a result of loneliness and social isolation. By working in partnership with other local organisations, we also promote equal access to their services and support the opportunities to gain new knowledge and skills in migrant communities.
All meetings are run in English.
Meetings are twice a week:
Day: Monday
Time: 6:30pm - 8:00pm
Venue: Santosa Cafe, 21 Albert Street, Leith
Day: Thursday
Time: 12:00pm - 1:30pm
Venue: Online meetings via Google Hangouts Meet.
