Founded in Edinburgh in 1982 by local people concerned about the isolation of the most vulnerable within the community. SEAG provides accessible, affordable, transport to give the mobility needed to participate in the range of community activities and social interests which we all take for granted.
We enable access to a fuller life by offering affordable, mobility adapted transport for the frail, elderly, disabled and those excluded by lack of resources to enable them access to a better life in the city of Edinburgh.
Recently, we received funding in a pilot project to expand part of our operations to include all community groups who need transport.
We provide accessible 7 to 16 seater vehicles with a driver to registered groups. Groups should designate a passenger assistant to accompany them on their journeys. Our drivers have specialist driving training (MiDAS) and First Aid and Manual Handling Certification.
Main operating hours 9:00am - 5:00pm, however evening and weekend bookings also accepted.
SEAG provides community transport for community groups and voluntary organisations in South Edinburgh.
