BEMAS is The Action Group’s Black And Ethnic Minority Advice Service.
Our BEMAS service is free, independent and confidential. The Action Group is happy to arrange interpreters for BEMAS service users where necessary.
Black and Ethnic Minority Transitions Service
Assists young adults with support needs to identify their goals for the future and achieve these goals. Advisers work one to one with young adults and run groups. They can advise and support people to get the information and services they need on a range of topics, for example: travel, education, work, social activities and money.
Our specialist BEMAS advice workers also work one-to-one with many carers helping them overcome barriers to accessing the services that they are entitled to. BEMAS advisers regularly deal with enquiries around immigration, welfare benefits, housing, respite and much more. BEMAS advisers aim to make their service as accessible as possible and frequently visit carers in their own homes.
