Bethany Christian Trust supports 7,000 homeless and vulnerable people every year in Scotland to find, equip and maintain a home within their local community.
As well as meeting housing needs, we provide support to individuals and families to help them tackle long-term homelessness problems including addictions, debt, lack of furniture, unemployment and social isolation.
The work of Bethany Christian Trust today is as varied and wide-ranging as the people who need our services. From street work serving rough sleepers through to providing educational opportunities, work placement and resettlement support, Bethany works with hurting people to help them find a home and understand the underlying reasons why they became homeless in the first place to prevent this happening again. Bethany attributes its success and longevity to its unique ethos and underlying organisational motivation: demonstrating the unconditional love of Christ to everyone regardless of their background, race or religion.
