On the last Wednesday of each month (excluding summer holidays), we offer a FREE light lunch to all who would like to come and join us for informal chat, discussion and friendship.
Soup (from Passeys) and bread, cake and tea provided all provided for FREE.
You are very welcome to come along and have some lunch and a natter.
Sometimes one of us will focus our discussion on a particular activity we enjoy, or on an issue that will be of wider interest (ecological issues, thoughts on the way we live, on mystery, on craft, on our life story, on a particular trip we’ve done) or we will simply have time together.

- Dariusz Wedge, Maggie Young and Jacqui Marwick talked about the Compassionate Neighbours scheme run from St Columba’s Hospice followed by discussion
- Councillor Maureen Child spoke about her time in Portobello / Craigmillar Ward
- Rachael Gilfillan spoke about the work of the Bethany Christian Trust in our community.
- Gillian Reid and Rev’d Mike Marsden spoke about the work their food bank in Portobello
