Make a positive difference to someone’s life.
Currently within our Edinburgh services we are proud to have a team of volunteers engaged with our work. Our volunteers come from a broad range of backgrounds and experiences, but all have the ambition of making a positive difference to people’s lives.
All our volunteers have been through our in-house training programme. The training programme is run over 8 sessions with each session lasting between 2 and 3 hours. The sessions are usually run on a weekly basis. The sessions cover various aspects of Independent Advocacy such as, but not limited to; communication, diversity, boundaries and confidentiality.
Those people who volunteer with us receive on-going support through their volunteering role. As well as support we also aim to identify suitable training opportunities for each individual volunteer.
We aim to have an intake of new volunteers around twice per year. If you are interested in volunteering, then please keep an eye on our Facebook page or alternatively contact the Edinburgh office and we will put you on out to contact list.
