We offer support in all aspects of involving volunteers, and lots more!

All welcome to this free session and we look forward to meeting you. Refreshments are also provided.

Bespoke Training Solutions...

As one of the most experienced training teams in the country we are able to provide you with competitively priced, bespoke training courses which exactly meet your organisational needs.

We can deliver in-house, specifically tailored for you, any of our Cores Skills in Volunteer Management (CSVM) units as well as tailored courses on subjects as diverse as Boundaries, Confidentiality, Equal Opportunities or any volunteer management issues that you have. Some of our courses can also be adapted and delivered to your volunteers to help develop awareness and skills.

If you would like to talk to us about your training needs or if you have any other questions about the training we offer please get in touch.

Core Skills in Volunteer Management...

Core Skills in Volunteer Management (CSVM) is a suite of training which covers all the essentials of volunteer management. Suitable for both someone new to volunteer management as well as those who have been in the business for a while, these enjoyable and interactive courses will help you develop your professional volunteer management skills and share experience with other managers. The courses have been developed by practitioners for practitioners.

The suite is designed so that you can attend all four units and get a complete over view of volunteer management or mix and match individual units on subjects that you feel are of most interest to you. Courses include:

Unit 1: Involvement
Unit 2: Recruitment and selection
Unit 3: Support, supervision and challenges
Unit 4: Training and impact measurement

In addition to these core units we also offer a range of enhanced learning opportunities covering a diverse range of topics from Health and Safety and Risk Management, Equal Opportunities and Marketing.

Our training is some of the most competitively priced available (and includes lunch!) at £70 per person per unit. This is part of our commitment to make high quality training available to as many volunteer management professionals as possible.

You will find further details of any upcoming units at https://www.volunteeredinburgh.org.uk/course/involve-workshops where you can also book a place. If you would like to know more about the course or if you have any other questions about the training we offer please get in touch.

Inspire Sessions

Inspire is our monthly gathering for people who are new to volunteer management and for people who have years of experience. It’s an opportunity to share experiences and good practice, get advice about tackling sticky volunteer problems or thorny issues, and get peer support from people who really know what it’s like to be a Volunteer Coordinator.

Please see https://www.volunteeredinburgh.org.uk/course/inspire-sessions for further information.

Evolve Forum

Evolve is our dynamic forum to help volunteer managers advance their Continuing Professional Development. Evolve brings together volunteer managers with lots of different experience to learn, share experiences, network, and for an opportunity to give and receive peer support.

Each Evolve has a different thematic focus, concentrating on your professional development. There will be a presentation and time for questions and discussion. Please come ready with your questions and comments on the day’s theme, as well as on any other volunteering management issue for which you would like informal peer support.

The Evolve forum is an invaluable tool for everyone with responsibility for recruiting, managing or supporting volunteers (whether paid or as a volunteer, whether in front-line service delivery or serving on a management board or committee) and everyone will be made very welcome.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided and it is completely free but we do ask people to book.

You will find further details of any upcoming forums at https://www.volunteeredinburgh.org.uk/course/involve-workshops where you can also book a place. If you would like to know more about the forums or if you have any other questions about the training we offer please get in touch.
Involve Workshops

The workshops are being delivered by the Health and Employability team which comprise our Health and Wellbeing and Employability services.

You will find further details of any upcoming workshops at https://www.volunteeredinburgh.org.uk/course/involve-workshops where you can also book a place. If you would like to know more about the workshops or if you have any other questions about the training we offer please get in touch.
