The Currie Flyers

The High Flyers Basketball Academy runs Basketball classes in Edinburgh and the Lothians for children and young people age 5 and above.

Focusing on the individual, firstly as a person and then a player, we build skill sets from the ground up by giving players the tools, they can use in their everyday lives paired with being able to compete against higher level competition on the court. Teaching both fundamental and advanced techniques and tactics, our coaching staff is able to bring out the best in each young person.

Led by Gavin Menzies, A shooting guard with Pleasance basketball club and a former Youth development Worker, the program utilizes a multiphased approach to player development that includes player/character evaluation, position specific skill instruction and competition, The High Flyers basketball academy is a proven destination for young players seeking improvement.

Within the umbrella of The High Flyers exists multiple teams of different age and ability and compete against a variety of other local teams and schools.

Whether its trying out the sport for the first time, looking to improve on the skills you already have or as an avenue to make new friends in a fun and active way, The High Flyers has something for you!
