Granton Early Years Centre

Granton Early Years Centre is a City of Edinburgh Council establishment and is part of Children and Families. The centre offers a range of services, including group care for children aged up to 5 for both fee-paying and supported families. The centre also offers a range of groups and community initiatives for families with young children.

The centre offers holiday activities, parents groups, baby massage, PEEP groups, Bookbug events and many other activities and sessions to support the needs of children and families in our community.

Granton Early Years Centre has a warm and friendly atmosphere. It is a drop-in centre for all children from 0 - 5 years and their carers.

The centre is registered to provide a care service for a maximum of 64 children at any one time aged between six weeks and primary school entry..

The centre has three playrooms, the Ladybirds, (0-2), Bumblebees (2-3) and the Dragonflies (3-5) years.

There are two multi -purpose rooms and a shared office space with North Edinburgh Stepping Stones.

There is a large garden which is separated into two areas, one area for children aged 0-2 and the other for 2- 5 years. The
garden is accessible from all three playrooms.

Activities including song time, snack time, painting/drawing/playdo/reading time. So much to do the kids love it.

A parent's group provides opportunities for informal discussions and for them to be involved in the centre. Staff confidently used their knowledge and skills to 'champion' groups and work in partnership with families. For example, they lead groups for Raising children with confidence, PEEP, the learning together programme, (for parents/carers and their children), Stay and Play sessions and a children's Meditation group.
