information DESCRIPTION

The Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland is an evangelical, Calvinistic denomination, reformed in doctrine, worship and practice. It was formed in 1893, and is a mainline descendant of the historic Church of Scotland of the Reformation.

The Edinburgh congregation was formed in 1893 or soon afterwards. The first minister was Rev. Alexander Stewart, 1903-1905, and our current minister is Rev. David Campbell, 2013-date. The first church was in East Fountainbridge. The present church in Gilmore Place was purchased in July 1921.
