information DESCRIPTION

Welcome to Bristo Baptist Church in Edinburgh. We are the second oldest Baptist Union Church in Scotland (founded 1765).

However, being old and long-established does not mean that we are not moving with the times. We have lively modern worship celebrations and solidly Biblical all-age education on Sundays, and during the week we have group meetings in people's homes and meet for prayer.

We are bound together by the love of God and move together in the power of the Holy Spirit. You will be assured of a warm welcome if you come and join us in worship, whether you are just visiting the city or have come to stay for a longer period to work or study.

How to find us

On foot...

If walking from Princes Street, it will take around 10 to 15 minutes. Head along Queensferry Road, across the Dean Bridge and veer left onto Buckingham Terrace. We are located at the West end of Buckingham Terrace, at the crossroads where Queensferry Road, Orchard Brae and the Dean Path all meet.

By car...

On Sundays it is best to park on Dean Path or Ravelston Terrace. Parking is free. We do have space for approx. six to eight cars in the church car park, which is located to the rear of the building.

By bus...

Many buses run past the church along Queensferry Road, to and from the city centre. For example, numbers 19, 37, 41, 43, 47 and 113, as well as buses to/from Fife all stop close by the church.

By train...

Haymarket is the nearest railway station, about a mile away.
